Audioblog.com - Upload or Record By Phone Up to 60 Minutes
But as much as I love to produce audio posts (which stems from back in the days of my poetry site, circa 1999-2003), it takes way too long to really do it well. Once a week I can commit myself to doing a full-fledged radio broadcast on some type of a continuous basis.
But most of the time I just want to call a number, talk about some undercover tip and let it go already. If I can't get a really nice production done well, then, well, I want it done fast.
If you're like me and you want to have the occasional long podcast, then you might be ready to get this bad boy offered by Audioblog.com: there's even a free trial.
I'm signing up for several of these in preparation for the re-debut of my poetry sites which are heavy on audio. Then I'll have three audio-enabled sites going again
1- Free Traffic Tips (slowly but surely bringing back the Mini-cast and maybe even turning it into a full weekly radio program with guests and all of that.(
2- The main poetry site with 2600 users and
3- My writing/poetry site where I'll be selling my CDs again.
Now this is the main feature that fell me in love in Audioblog.com:
Whether you call the media center, use the BlogRecorder, or upload your own MP3 or WAV files, you can manage your audios anytime of the day or night, 365 days a year.
So they've got this BlogRecorder thingy. Or you can call and talk for up to 60 minutes if you're in a lazy/buzy patch like I am. Or you can upload pre-existing files. Sweeeeeeeeeeet.
Then there's this.bandwidth
* Unlimited audios per account
You may have an unlimited number of audios in your account at any time. No need to worry about running out of space, just keep recording them.
* 1,024 MB of streaming audio bandwidth per month
Audioblog.com members can stream up to A FULL GIGABYTE (1,024 MB equals 1 GB) of audio content per month. If your audios are one minute long, that means up to 5,000 FULL plays per month at no additional cost. And since we account for actual play time, you're not billed for bandwidth you're not using. Additional bandwidth will be automatically added as needed to ensure your audios keep playing to your visitors ($1.95 per additional 1GB).
That's what I'm talkin bout baby.
So over the next few months I'll be doing a comparison of these services, since I need so many of them for three different audiences now, and will need them for at least a dozen later. Stayth Tuned.
